Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

On the day of your event, we arrive approximately 2 hours in advance of your guests to set up. We return at the agreed upon time to collect the rental items. Typically, the duration of an outdoor picnic is 2 hours. Additional time can be requested at the time of your booking for an added fee.

**If you have rented tableware for a party in your home, we kindly ask that you simply "rinse" any food or drinks from our items before we return to pack them. Our delicate glassware and vintage collections require hand washing only which will be done in our facility.

Is a deposit required prior to my event?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time the rental agreement is signed in order to secure your event date and your chosen package. We ask that you reserve your date at least 2 weeks in advance.

What if I have to reschedule or cancel my event?

We ask for at least 72 hours notice if you need to reschedule. If inclement weather is predicted for the date of your outdoor event, but you do not wish to reschedule, we can set up indoors if your home can accommodate your guests.

How many guests can you accommodate for My picnic or party?

Our outdoor picnics can accommodate up to 30 people. However, we may have to mix and match our unique (and sometimes limited) pieces. If you are having an event held in a facility that provides the dinnerware only, SereneScapes can provide the decorative accessories to elevate your experience for groups larger than 30.

What happens if we damage a rented item?

If the item must be professionally cleaned or repaired, you will be charged for that service. If the item is damaged beyond repair, you will be charged for the replacement cost of the item.
